Young people of Trinity gathered with 35,000 other Lutheran Youth from across the nation and around the world on Saturday. The registration process went smoothly (years of experience). Pictured to the right you see the pile of purple backpacks that were distributed to the youth counselors as they registered their group.
Registering early, the young people of Trinity had the chance to walk the river (that would be the Mississippi), see some sights, do a little shopping, check out some art, while others went to the D-Day Memorial Museum. Pictures are from the museum (because Pastor Brandt was with that group with the camera : ) )
The gathering officially began in the Superdome at 7:00 p.m. with music, skits, Bible Study and Dr. Tom Rogers did a very good job of preaching. That was followed by three different dances in the larger downtown hotels - including the Hyatt Regency.
